Sewing Basics Series: Pillowcase Workshop

In this class we will make a standard-sized pillowcase. This pattern uses just over 1 yard of coordinating or contrasting fabric and is a fun, approachable sew. The class is envisioned as a next step after completing our Machine Basics class, but is open to all sewists familiar with sewing machine fundamentals. Students are invited to bring their own machine, or use one of our studio machines. The pillowcase is easily customized. Once you make it once you will want to make it again and again! This project makes an excellent gift, and is a fun way to mark different holidays, seasons, and celebrations!

Meet the Maker: Bryanne Young

I am a curious and energetic garment sewist. I am interested equally in the practical strictures of design as I am the pull towards whimsy and creative self-expression. I believe that personal style is a fundamental form of voice, and that making clothes crafts a powerful link to the past, the future, and one another. Come sew with me!
