


Join us in our Holiday sewing, Elf workshops!
Have you ever wanted to sew your own zipper bag?! More importantly, learn how put a zipper in? This is a great holiday class for you and you will sew some might fine good looking zippy bags! Learn from the bag master herself, Sudi-Laura and she will share all her tricks with you. In this class you will learn how to follow a pattern, fuse interfacing, install a zipper and use contrasting prints. These make great holiday gifts!
Confident Beginners welcomed ages 18 and up

Pattern: The Essential Pouch by Sotak (download only)
Supplies: Please note specific fabric amounts are listed on the pattern depending on the size(s) you chose to make.
¼- ½ yard of exterior fabric
¼ yard of contrasting bottom fabric ( I like to use a canvas or heavy linen for this)
¼- ½ yard of lining fabric
1 yard of SF- 101 fusible interfacing
metal or nylon zipper (6″ for small, 8″ for medium, 10″ for large, 11″ for extra large)
Wonder tape
Straight stitch and zipper foot for your sewing machine
Pins
Thread to match exterior fabrics
Scissors
Marking tool ( clover chaco liner or blue water soluble pen are my top choices)
Rotary cutter and acrylic ruler if you already own them

If a class is cancelled by the instructor, a full refund will be given. If you cancel, we can refund your class fee only if you notify us 7 days before class. We’re sorry, but if you miss a class we cannot reschedule it nor can we make any fee adjustment.
Fabrics and supplies must be purchased from Mulberry Silks prior to the date the class begins. We do offer our students a 10% discount on all supplies required for your project(s). In most cases, you will need to wash and dry your fabric before the first class, so come in and get a materials list, browse the store, and get started***
